Should I buy a full or half eternity ring?

We often get asked what the differences are between full and half eternity rings. The main difference is that while a full eternity has stones all the way around the ring the half only has a portion of the ring decorated with stones. The former is obviously more impressive but the latter far more comfortable for everyday use.

Full Eternity Rings

Full eternity rings are rings that have stones set all around the ring's band, completing the infinite loop that symbolises eternity.

While this makes the rings much more valuable and in many cases more attractive, they can be less practical as the thickness of the band can feel a bit much for some wearers. They are also harder to size, meaning rings need to be made bespoke to fit, which can make them pricier than half eternity rings. However their beauty and value makes them a very popular option for many wearers.

Half Eternity Rings

Half eternity rings have stones set across the face of the band, the 'half' representing the amount of stones on the ring rather than the depth of your love. Indeed rings have always represented a sense of eternity and union in cultures around the world, so buying a 'half' eternity ring should never detract from the sentiment of giving your partner an eternity ring.

Half eternity rings can also be more comfortable for the wearer, meaning they can wear their ring with pride more often and for longer periods. As the stones will not sit between the fingers, it is also possible to set the ring with larger stones. For those who like to show off their love, this means the stones can be seen more easily!
